Stock Update

As some of you will already know I have been unable to get new stock due to the closure of Vietnam's borders. Although this is frustrating, they have been able to contain the virus so I take my hat off to them. I was there as the pandemic was spreading around the world and their response was admirable. It was effective and responsive. Perhaps Boris and co. can learn from them.

The GOOD NEWS is I have now been granted entry so am finalising my plans to visit. The timing is good as its harvest time so I can get involved and pick some of the cherries from the coffee trees like I did 2 years ago, see below. Fingers crossed for a good harvest

Above are ARABICA trees. I still have a few bags of these left so please order quickly if you would like some. I had my last batch roasted on Tuesday.

This year, what gave me great satisfaction was how popular ROBUSTA turned out to be. Of course, this is the quintessential coffee bean from Vietnam. I only wanted to sell products which I could source directly and were grown naturally. When I first started my business I was lucky enough to source some of Vietnam's finest Arabica beans. These beans grown and produced to specialty standards. What was missing was quality Robusta and I finally managed to source some. The response was great, too great as they sold out quickly. As it was a new product I had limited quantity. However, if all goes to plan (no guarantees with the "new normal") it will be in stock in February. So please be patient :)

I will also have other products back in stock including my ever popular Oolong Tea. I have regular customers who love this tea. It is grown naturally in the hills of Bao Loc. Being so good it is exported to Taiwan who are a nation of Oolong drinkers. But I am able to get my hands on some for the British too!

So I ask that you will come back to me in February and understand the difficulties I have faced.

I want to say a big thank you to my regular customers who don't only place an order but share a message or two with me as well.

I know it won't be the same this year but I wish you all, in advance, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Stay safe,

Brian
